Mr. Tenzin Norbu is a researcher at the Environment and Development Desk under DIIR of CTA. He gave a presentation on the Pastoral Nomads of Tibet, the impacts of Nomads resettlement policy by Central Chinese government on environment etc.
Mr. Norbu did his early schooling from TCV School Dharamsala. He holds Master’s degree in the field of Environmental Technology and Management. He was a teaching staff in TCV School from 1996 – 2000. He also worked as a senior researcher for five years in various environmental projects at the Environmental Engineering Program of the Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand). In the year 2008, he joined Central Tibetan Administration, Dharamsala and has been serving as a researcher cum the Head of the Environment and Development Desk, under the Department of Information and International Relations. Over the years, he has presented many papers and took part in many panel discussions relating to Tibet’s Environment and The Third Pole.
